hey Ted. Thanks for the update. I took a look at the release notes but I can't find anything pertaining to changes specific to Flex 3.3 except for installing the data visualizations. Is there a list of fixed bugs for this version?

    Thanks.

Ted, do you know if there are futher details/examples on the constraint layout enhancements? The release notes say:

"Enhanced Constraints layout mechanism – Enhanced Constraints builds upon the existing constraint-based layout mechanism allowing you to create complex, resizable layouts using sibling-relative constraints (in Flex 2 you could only define parent-child constraints)."

Can anyone comment if this includes allowing children to be positioned via constraint rows/columns and then animated to resize using states to change either the style properties or the width/height on the Constraints themselves?

When I download this and look at the flex-sdk-description.xml file, it says that it is version 3.2.0 build 3958.

Just for kicks I set it up in Eclipse and it says it.s version 3.2 as well.

I also noticed that on the Flex 3 downlaods page ,that the URL for version 3.2 and version 3.3 are the same.

Does anyone know if they retracted the 3.3 version for some reason???

How do we get a hold of the source code for the Data Visualization components in the 3.3 SDK?

We have fixed a few bugs, overridden some difficult to get at behavior and done some optimalizations - and after upgrading to the 3.3 SDK we are flying blind...

How can we verify that our changes are still necessary and valid in the 3.3 SDK?

    Cheers!

    Anonymous,

I just downloaded and checked the description file, says 3.3.0, build 4852. You sure you're not looking at a cached zip?

    Hi Ted:

I've downloaded the datavisualization for SDK3.3, and I have access to the datavisualization.swc, but I don't have access to these automation swcs:
    - automation.swc
    - automation_dmv.swc
    - automation_agent.swc

In the past, these would show up in my flex/libs directory, I think after installing the datavisualization stuff...

    What gives?

    Cheers,
    Eric

    Thanks, that hit the spot!

    @Eric

Use the automation swc's from 3.2. They haven't changed according to someone on the SDK team.

I couldn't find the correct download link for the 3.2 sdk that included it, but it does come with the latest flex builder.

With Flex 3.3 SDK, copylocale does not copy the automation_agent_rb.swc. Is it a bug?
