Typically on the first night I arrive in Japan I wake up super early due to jet lag. This morning I decided to got to the fish auction at the Tsukiji Fish Market where they auction Tuna and fish all morning starting at 4am. Ted on Twitter - @AdobeTed

You can suggest them a nice Air app to make the auctions with live video and rating for the fish!! :)
Have fun!
Did you go? We are going on Friday 1/30/09 I made the mistake last time I was here going when they were closed. What time did you end up going? I heard the auction opens at 5am.
We have a group going on 1/29. We stayed out too late and deferred to the next day.
Ted :)
Well maybe we will see you there. We are planning on leaving our place in Gotanda at 4 and getting there by 5 am.
Well we went, you could tell the tension was high there between the fish mongers and the vendors and the tourists. We got there around 4:45 am, and while the auction "started" at 5 am they didn't really ramp up the auctioning until 5:55 am.
