Today in the MAX Japan keynote Kevin Lynch announced that AIR passed 100 million installs and Flash Player 10 passed 55% penetration 2 months after release.

What does this mean for flex developers? Does everyone with flash 10 have flex 3 framework cached? It would be awesome to distribute flex swfs without the 350kb bloat :)
Very nice. I like that the slope of each version is increasing.
Do we have any idea why so many people have upgraded so soon? Are there big websites that require Flash 10? Is Flash 10 bundled with software that has sold millions of copies?
Does it use the Microsoft tactic of popping up in the Start Menu, and say things like "Your computer could be hijacked by terrorists if you don't upgrade"?
Flash Player 10 is the first time we launched the updater with a new release. We typically delay a bit.
It is amazing to see the growth though release over release.

Hi all.
I suggest for us (flex/flash developers) starting a campaign for adoption of Flash 10.
Changing a minimmun version required from 9.0.127 to 10.0.0 in the settings compiler information on Flex Builder.
Native 3d, load() method in fileReference (load files from local without need a servlet), etc... are features very important for us flex developers.
Disclose! Advertise! Starting with your applications and talk to your friends developers. Let's go change the world!!! hehehehe...
Best regards!
