Verizon just released a new Flex 3 application for selling ringtones and ringbacks. The site is excellent and the use of transitions and dynamic data is visually stunning. It is one of the best Flex apps I have seen in a while. It also is also one of the first full ecommerce experiences in Flex that I have seen. You can search, preview, and buy any ringtone or ringback on Verison online. Way cool!

Not to downplay on the flex work, but here's another angle/opinion:

...essence being, we're doing RIA now...lets escape the page centric model...
Wow, that's an atrocity—the response speed of rollover, the lack of hand cursors, urgh...
it was developed in-house
This is probably the nicest Flex site I've ever seen. Buggy as hell though.
@Fuad
I've just joined the digital marketing space and have begun to learn a lot about what drives these things. Unfortunately, as much as us techies would like to build something cool and revolutionary, if we're building for the masses, we have to build what they're used to. I think Verizon has done a good job of incorporating newer technology, but keeping a navigation system we've all been trained to use over the last 15 years or so. For something like this, the almighty $$ are the only results big execs are going to look for :)
