Finding domains with Flex: brandgopher.com

I really like this app, it is a very simple use of Flex. I have yet to see another domain name search system use 'as you type' searching but it is effective at brandgopher.com. The text input field took me a second to find but once I did, I found 3 good domain names worth registering:

fooboard.com
adobemax.net
adobeted.com

Check out brandgopher.com

cheers,

ted :)

    Hi Ted,

This is a nice site, you're right. I think http://www.instantdomainsearch.com does it even better - it feels lighter, and it's more obvious where to type. I've been a fan of that site for quite awhile.

Looking at them both provides an interesting comparison between two sites with similar functionality, one implemented with AJAX, the other with Flex. What do you think?

www.ajaxwhois.com has been doing this for a while, but I like the UI of the flex version.

    Thanks for posting.

Interesting, but I do not really like the popup.

I use: http://instantdomainsearch.com/, very good simple interface (AJAX).

    Hi Ted,

I just wanted to say that registering domains which includes Adobe's name is not recommended since it is a trademark.

@Brad: instantdomainsearch doesn't have some functionality, like saving domain names or changing the fonts for a possible logo (the little "f" on the right of the text input). Not to say about emailing the list of saved domains...

    Cheers!
