This is fantastic! I'm a big proponent for getting software in the hands of students for cheap or free. After all, it is *these* students are ultimately going to be the people who decide what technologies live and die tomorrow and giving them access to tomorrows tools today is nothing but a good move.

I echo the sentiment that this should be more prominently housed at adobe.com; the upgrade path for Flex3 academic licenses has been confusing. Adobe should be more vocal that it's giving away this great product to higher ed (staff, faculty and students alike) at no charge.

That being said, kudos to the responsive registration team for turning around my key in less than a day.

This is so awesome. I just got mine accepted. Thanks so much to you Ted, as well as Adobe.

While I am MOST appreciative of the giving of software (and posters YAY!), my question is, why Flex? Also, will Adobe do similar promotions in the future with other products/technologies?

Got mine too!! This is a GREAT way to promote their products in my opinion. Now only if there was a decent HTML editor bundled with flex :P !

What is the educational license like? Can files be distributed or used, for example, on a college website?

That link no longer works, and hasn't for some time. Anyone know where we can get the Educational version?
