WROX is working on a great series of book highlighting Flex and AIR. There are 5 new titles shipping and in development. The latest is "Beginning AIR" By Rich Tretola. Rich is a great developer and I would highly recommend checking out his new AIR title.

Hi Ted,

I'm interested if any books are in the works that address coursework at the Higher Education level. Please see my comment at Mike Downey's blog.

The reason I ask this is that in order for our college to start offering new classes in a particular technology, (especially a new one) is that it should address student interest. Often times a student learning computer science or programming paradigms is required to study approved courses that will transfer to other institutions. A full fledged engineering program that allows AS3 to become a language of choice that is on par with Java, C# or C++, seems like it will take a while, and a web design program will likely only see AIR as an added feature to Flash and not taught at that level.

Any insights or suggestions?
