This morning I am flying from San Francisco to Chicago to join the MAX team onsite during preparations. I am looking forward to seeing how 4 months of planning and hard work turned out and help put the finishing touches on MAX. The MAX team has done such an amazing job and it has been an honor being on the team. Although I have suddenly transformed into the public face of MAX (that is really scary), there are so many people working around the clock to put this event on. When you look at the hotel logistics, the shipping and set-up, the printing, the tech setup, the sessions scheduling and speaker prep, the scale of MAX begins to hit you. It takes a great number of people to make events like this happen and the MAX team has delivered. When you are at MAX, please take the time to say thanks to the team behind the scenes, they worked really hard to make everything you see and experience happen.
THANKS MAX TEAM
The stage is set, the conference is being built out as I type this, and it is sure to be one of the best MAX events ever, if not the best one yet.
See you in AIRPark, see you at MAX 2007!
Ted :)

This will be my first MAX. I was never particularly interested in going before, and even this time, when I was invited as a speaker, I was like, "well... ok".
But I gotta say, it's looking pretty damn exciting right now. That's a lot of people, a lot of cool sessions, and some rumors of some very intense announcements.
I can't wait til Sunday morning to fly out there.
I've never been much for conferences either, and so this is my first Max too (though I haven't been invited to speak :) )
I still have to wait 2 weeks before my Max starts in Barcelona.
I'm going to be behind the curve by the end of next week :(
This is my second MAX. Last year, I had a lot of fun, and all signs point to the experience being amazing this year. Can't wait to fly to Chicago tomorrow! See you there, Ted!
Let's see, if you count Macromedia's Ucons and DevCons... this will be my 11th or 12th! As much as I gripe about things--it has always (well, most always) been a great conference. All indications are that this one will be even better.
I'll bet we're all correct it'll be great. P.S. Be sure to come to my ignite session! I go first at 5pm at the reception Sunday. I've been prepping.
Even though I will 'only' make it to MAX Europe I feel like a kid at christmas. It will be fantastic.
