I have seen a jump in the job postings over at FlexJobs list lately, about 100% in the last month. When I started the list I seeded the list with postings from Indeed but after a month I set the list free to succeed or fail. Postings have averaged about 25 a month but this month we crossed 25 listings on the 15th of the month. Looking deeper the traffic rise is evenly distributed across posters.
FLEX JOBS LIST
I need to raise awareness about the job resources for Flex. FlexJobs is lower traffic but the job quality of the list is high and I filter it to make sure it stays that way.

Cheers,

I actually don't understand why not more companies are turning to Flex. From my point of view it doesn't make sense anymore to write (most) applications in a different way. Even applications that are only used in house (do they still exist???) would benefit a lot from the deployment advantages (and of course all other advantages as well). It's mostly financial companies in the US that have seen the light it seems :(
Adoption takes time and constant pressure. Flex has just now become a proven solution for Internal and External applications. The problem is that technology adoption takes a long time within companies. When a company commits to a development model it is a 5+ year decision given creation, support, and the longer legacy. Flex has just ramped up the creation side.
We are building steadily.
More to come.

Hey Ted,
Regarding jobs in the Flash Platform space - I recently put up a job listing system for Flash Platform related jobs (Flash/Flex/Flash Lite, etc), and potential candidates in the Philadelphia and surrounding areas (considering expanding it down the road) It's currently in BETA warts and all, but certainly useable - actively looking for feedback, etc. also put together an RSS feed of all the listings so it can be aggregated elsewhere. It's open to the public now at: http://www.pfpaug.org/core/joblistings/
Also, I'm happy to extend a discount and free listings to recruiters and job posters for the next month while we are in BETA - anyone interested: contact me for details here: http://www.pfpaug.org/core/contact.php
See you at MAX!
Rob
We Flex developers are living in the best of times, aren't we? The Flex technology provides the most elegant application framework I have ever seen. And the Flex job market provides the most lucrative contracts that I've seen since 2001.
In other words: Flex rocks! There is no better development platform in the world for creating applications where User Experience is the top priority. Developers know it and job makers are discovering it fast.
