FlexCamp Thanks and Desperately Seeking Flex...

DIGG IT!     4 Comments Published Wednesday, August 01, 2007 at 5:51 PM .

I want to give a very very public thanks to Mike Potter, Lisa Ferguson, and the countless others that made FlexCamp an amazing event. Mike Potter worked very hard making the event great and for a first time event, FlexCamp was a 10 in my book. I really had a blast and we need to do more of these events as they are so good for the community. It was great to catch up with so many Flex developers in the area and great to see a full house for the event.

During FlexCamp there was a recruiter stationed outside of 601 Townsend handing out job fliers to everyone entering the building. Here is an image of the flier, if your interested in working on Flex at a start-up this gig looks tempting!

VC's handing out fliers at an Adobe event, wow have things changed! :)

Thanks!

Ted :)

Hey Ted, How about hosting some of these on the East Coast :-)

Hey, I'd be the last one to discount the demand for Flash/Flex folks right now. However, Red Flag #249 is "this is going to be big".

This is going to be big... sounds like a bad 'that's what he said' joke. But seriously, I'm finding recruiters don't have as much appeal as they used too, I'm getting 4-5 recruiter emails a week pointing me to jobs that have already been posted weeks earlier on the Yahoo Flex job board. Thankfully, the Flex community is tight-knit, so it's easy to be in the know about great opportunities without having employ the services of a job pimp.
