360Flex - Next Flex ( Keynote Day 3 )

I am preparing the Day 3 Keynote for 360Flex and am assembling demos. The session will be a broad set of examples that define "Next Flex". With 2 Flex releases scheduled for this year ("Borneo" & "Moxie"), ColdFusion "Scorpio", Creative Suite 3 including Flash CS3, and the "Apollo" runtime, it is shaping up to be an amazing year for Flex and Flash Player technologies.

I will be showing an early build of Flex Builder that includes an expanded set of "language intelligence" features that dramatically improve productivity. I will also be highlighting integration with the CS3 suite of tools and ColdFusion. And last but not least, I will show some Flex tooling for "Apollo".

Flex is much bigger than Adobe and there are many amazing teams working to extend Flex around the globe. In addition to showcasing what Adobe is working on, I will be showcasing several 3rd party projects that extend Flex. With so many great extensions to Flex emerging, I believe this hits at the heart of "Next Flex".

Adobe's XD team will also be presenting on Flex and Design. XD delivers some amazing projects from design to code that define UI and interaction within Adobe. It will be an interesting glimpse into the world of XD.

See you at "Next Flex"!

cheers,

Ted :)

Ted, that was an awesome presentation on MXML and AS3 (Apples == Apples.)

Thanks for clearing up a lot of confusion about MXML vs AS3. Now I just gotta put some of what I learned in your session into practice.

Now what was that compiler flag again? Oh yeah... --keep

    Keep up the great Blog!
