This new 3rd party Flex component from Flextendibles is worth a look. It adds spell checking into the Flex TextInput, TextArea, and Rich Text Editor components. The component uses the context menu to present suggested words, supports a custom dictionary, and underlines mispelled words in red.

Thanks for the comments on your site. It's my first release of a software product on my own. One correction though, it doesn't work on TextInput's just RichTextEditor and TextArea. I'm very excited about this release.
The demo doesn't work for me in Firefox 1.5.0.7 with Flash player 9.0.16.0 debug or in IE6 with Flash player 9.0.16
I've gotten a few reports about that please make sure you can view the wsdl at http://www.flextendibles.com/Flex/services/SpellChecker?WSDL.
Some people can get to the web site but not the wsdl, I'm looking into it, if you want to be updated send me an email customerservice@flextendibles.com
Jason, I went through my logs found a problem on my j2ee application server. It's been corrected and the demo should work
