Tom Ortega will be hosting a Flex DragRace at MAXUP on Tues. Oct 24 from Noon-1PM. The idea is simple. Show up with your laptop and Flex installed. You will have thirty minutes to write an application. What application? I'm not telling. You have to show up to find out. We will then spend thirty minutes looking at what you wrote. It's ok if you don't finish completely. We will judge as a group and have significant prizes to give away.

Sweet... I will be there. Sounds like a great concept epecially if we share design ideas afterwards...
Any thought on limitations to what you can throw in the app? In other words are we gonna limit the code to what you can "create" in 30 mins from scratch.
Not sure I am totally clear about the Drag portion of the contest either... Should I bring a boa?

We will have a project to build fitting for 30 minutes of development . No boa required!
DragRace = Fixed length of track, go as fast as you can go.
We will definitely share design ideas as people finish. I keep finding there is lots of value in seeing how others code.
Ted :)
